| This is the best deep fryer I have ever used. Easy to clean, easy to use. I like that the pan can be removed. I purchased a large strainer and add a cheese cloth to strain the oil. It works perfectly. Products are always crispy. Great for large families or for individual use. I have cooked fries, catfish, hush puppies, chicken, calamari, shrimp with excellent results. I get about 15 to 17 uses out of the oil because I strain after 4 or 5 uses continually adding new oil to bring up to oil level. Do not let Presto cooldaddy deep fryer stay on continuously because you will burn the oil. I have had other fryers but they were too hard to clean because the nozzle stopped up and the pan would become caked. |

| I bought this Presto professional cooldaddy electric deep fryer a while back and have loved it. I read all the instructions first and used a candy thermometer to make sure the unit's thermostat was accurate and it was. I had read the review on here about stirring the oil if it doesn't reach the proper temp and that worked like a charm. I wasn't sure when I would use it again so after the first fry feast (say that three times fast) I drained and filtered the oil using a large mesh strainer with a round coffee filter. Then I poured the cleaned oil back into the original bottles that it was purchased in using a funnel I bought on here for that purpose. |
